Historic Post Office Wedding | Hampton Wedding Photographer | Trey + Kristina

Trey and Kristina have been together for six years. In that time, they have doubtless gone through all the highs and lows that life can bring, yet they continue to choose love for each other. That love was more evident last weekend than it ever has been, because after six years they still get butterflies when they're together and would rather spend time with no one else. Love is a choice, and they have demonstrated their commitment to the relationship they share.

I can't talk about their wedding day without gushing over all the elements that made the Historic Post Office drop-dead gorgeous. Kristina worked with the incredibly talented Aleen Floral Design to cover the venue in white, from incredible roses to custom draping and greenery that stood behind them during the ceremony. Kristina was an absolutely flawless bride, and nothing sums up how beautiful she is more than when she looked at a bridal portrait I took and couldn't help but exclaim, "how do I look so good?!" Their wedding is truly one of the prettiest I have ever witnessed…

After about two frames I had to wipe the tears from my eyes. My baby sister, the one who I constantly have to remind myself is no longer just 8 years old, was getting married in a month. When she first put on her dress (and we all cried then!), we knew she had to wear it more than just on the wedding day. Despite the threat of thunderstorms and some weekend mishaps, we spent the morning just a few weeks ago at Christopher Newport University, capturing her beauty and the anticipation of what was coming soon.

Megan is beautiful, both inside and out. She is generous and caring. She is extremely kind and gracious towards those around her. I have watched her walk through the difficulties of high school, college, and graduation with integrity and joy, and I have seen her relationship with the Lord grow deeper as a result. It wasn't hard to capture her beauty, and it was easy to make her smile as she thought about her groom and the upcoming wedding.

How to Choose the Perfect Summer Wedding Flowers | Hampton Roads Floral Design

I'm so excited to continue this seasonal wedding flower guide, written by my talented friend Karen of Aleen Floral Design, who provides wonderful suggestions for what flowers to choose should you get married in the spring. You can also view her spring, fall and winter wedding flower suggestions.

Hello again, it is hard to fathom that our seasonal flower chats are drawing to a close.  I have enjoyed talking your ear off about blooms in their prime and the myriad of textures and price points available.  Summer is gently teasing us lately with warm sun kissed pavement, glorious sunsets, and frosty treats.  There are many aspects of summer I thoroughly enjoy, but none quite compare to strolling through a farmers market and spotting a stand of resplendent summer blooms.  It puts a smile on my face and a skip in my step...
