I’ve known about Matt, Heather, and their family for many years, through church and mutual friends, so I was delighted to finally meet them all in person on a gorgeous fall day in Colonial Williamsburg. We had already been through the disappointing experience of a rained-out and reschedule family session, so when the sun was shining and the air was crisp the morning of the new picture date, we were all thrilled.
For Emily, their youngest, it was an extra special day - her birthday! She turned 10 that day and from the time I got to spend with her, I know she is already so full of life, and her sweet and spunky personality shone through. The entire family is a true joy to be with, including the birthday girl! And, despite being unsure of what outfits to choose, I loved what Heather picked out for each family member - perfectly coordinating colors without being too ‘matchy-matchy.’
Overall it was a beautiful day for a wonderful family as we strolled from the Palace Green to the edge of the William & Mary Campus. I only hope I get to spend more time with these four soon!
